The Demon Girl Next Door – Episode 1 Review (Spoiler)

The Demon Girl Next Door

Synopsis:

Yuko Yoshida is just an ordinary school girl — until Lilith unleashes her dormant, devilish powers. Now, Yuko must defeat Momo Chiyoda, the shrine maiden of the Light Clan who just so happens to go to her school!

HIDIVE

As the synopsis describes, this is one of those comedy anime shows. I enjoyed this show since it was a nice break from all the action going on in most of the recent season releases. One of my favorite part was when Yuko’s mother explained how she was a descendent of darkness and motivates her by saying that they would escape poverty and that she would grow a little taller if she defeated the Magical girl (I get how she feels… being short, I might be cursed too). When she encountered the Magical girl and got saved by her, she got called a little kid. The light clan feels like the devil in disguises looking at what they have done to this devil family xD. The light clan is so cruel to curse them with only $400 per month. (Yume, Neru……we been cursed Q_Q)

Yuko trying to attack Momo

This was my second favorite part of this episode. Such a coincidence that they both attended the same school, and she declared a fight with her…as we can see was effortless…Yuko was so cute when she tries to punch Momo, but she was unharmed with her strength… and even taught her how to properly punch her (T.T). It is pretty sad when your enemy takes pity on you and gives you food.. then has to tell you how to fight correctly… poor Yuko.

I enjoyed this anime, it really gave me some laughters and hopefully it will do the same for you. It reminds me of Gabriel Dropout…could this be Satania and Vignettes reincarnation? I would give this a try if you enjoy some comedy slice of life anime. Our Yuko Chan is adorable, sadly she will not undo the curse xD

Thank you for reading!
