If It’s For My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord – Episode 1 Summary/Review(Spoiler)

Another new 2019 Summer Anime to try out! My first impression was that it was another show about fighting monsters with magical powers, but it turned out to be more slice of life.

Latina

The story starts off with a top adventurer named Dale completing a quest to kill monsters. Upon resting, he finds a lost devil child with a broken horn wandering alone named Latina. Unable to fully communicate with Latina’s devil language, Dale follows her into the forest. Latina led Dale to a deceased devil known as Ragu who seemed to be Latina’s father. After making a proper funeral for him, Dale decided to take Latina back to his place in the city, Kreuz. Dale introduced her to his friends that worked at the place, and they agreed to help look after her whenever he goes adventuring.

After thinking over what to do with Latina, Dale could not bring her to an orphanage concerned about her case of being a devil. For that reason, he decided to adopt her.

Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing show to watch that is overfilled with cuteness, you can give this show a try. Not sure if we will be seeing a demon king in the later episodes, but Latina might have an interesting background ( maybe she’s a runaway demon princess). You can stream this on places like Crunchyroll right now.
