I have noticed many great anime in recent years from China such as Qin’s Moon, Doulou Dalu, The King’s Avatar, and Spiritpact. Let’s talk about one you may not have heard much about called Shao Nian Ge Xing.
The story starts off with the legendary golden coffin descending from the Cold Water temple while protected by disciple Lianhua to be delivered to the Nine Dragon temple. Rumour has it that whoever had this coffin could acquire wealth, power, and even rule the world. So what’s inside that makes this so great…. hmm maybe a hot guy (〃▽〃)
Our main leads Lei Wu Jie and Xiao Se meets when bandits came to rob Xiao Se’s inn. I found this scene funny when Wu Jie comes to save the day… but destroyed Xiao Se’s inn instead…and now indebted to Xiao Se for property damage. This begins our main protagonists journey to Xue Yue City hoping to get the money from the well known Jiang Nan Lei family, that Xiao Se believes Wu Jie is from , but is he really from that family and what is his position…..
Along the way, they clash with Lian Hua who was being ambushed by assassins that were after the golden coffin. They decided to go with him to deliver this coffin which brings us to the next part, where they stopped by San Gu City, also known as the world’s best brothel (≧ω≦) I really liked this part because many epic fights took place inside this brothel where many different clans clashed against each other (everyone wants the coffin, hope is worth risking their lives for it)
During this battle, the coffin dropped and… it opened! But what is this that comes out of the coffin.. a hand?! :O

Oh I searched, and it seems its not a book. It’s a original animation xD I’m a bit shocked as well since I wanted to read it too. But season 2 is coming soon hopefully >.<

The anime is based on a novel (it’s also really good) but sadly I don’t think there is an English translated version of it.
